چکیده
The current study investigates the opportunity of using olive mill wastewater (OMWW) as a renewable fuel in internal combustion engines. biofuel was made from hydrothermal conversion OMWW sub-/supercritical alcohol-water system. blended with pure diesel (designated B0). Three blends namely B10, B20 and B30 containing respectively 10%, 20% 30% by volume were tested. This paper focuses on experimental performance, emission characteristics engine partial replacement conventional fuel. All experiments performed constant speed (1500 rpm). load varied 20 to 100% full load. It is found that B10 blend offers best results, compared B30, terms performance pollutant emissions. Using showed lower levels for unburned hydrocarbons (12%), particulate matter (12%) carbon monoxide (26%) under high conditions, B20. Moreover, medium further reduced concentration pollutants such (55%) (65%) B30. In addition, use resulted thermal efficiency than Conversely, obtained highest even

متن کاملAn Experimental Investigation of Combustion, Emissions and Performance of a Diesel Fuelled HCCI Engine
Homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) is an advanced combustion concept that is developed as an alternative to diesel engines with higher thermal efficiency along with ultralow NOx and PM emissions. To study the performance of this novel technique, experiments were performed in a two cylinder engine, in which one cylinder is modified to operate in HCCI mode while other cylinder operate...
متن کاملEffect of Injection Pressure on CI Engine Performance Fuelled with Biodiesel and its blends
Use of biodiesel as an alternative to diesel could reduce the dependency on petroleum products and the pollution problem. The physical properties of the fuel such as viscosity, volatility and f lash point also affect the combustion process, thereby engine performance. Specif ically atomization of the fuel during the injection is attributed to higher viscosity of biodiesel. Injec ted fuel drople...
